Seminar on Insurance, Retirement and Estate Planning for SeniorsDeshantari’s New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) team in collaboration with the ICCC Seniors NHSP team are excited to present this seminar as per the details below: Cost:
NOTE: If you would like to get the $5 per person discounted tickets, RSVP by 02 March, 2017 (mid-night) otherwise no RSVP is required. The discounted tickets are given on a first-come, first-served basis up to a limit of 50 tickets. As the tickets are significantly discounted no shows will be billed the full amount. RSVP:

NHSP – Picnic at Rideau Provincial Park
Trips & Outings:
-All day inter-generational outing and picnic at the Rideau River Provincial Park, with volunteers cooking lunch, as well as preparing and serving Indian snacks and refreshments.
-Transportation Assistance was provided to 10 seniors with mobility issues.
NHSP – Computer Literacy Classes for Seniors
– A module of 4 Computer Literacy classes for Seniors, including use of laptops & smartphones, the Internet and social media
– Arranged in collaboration with ICCC
– Classes provided at the Tanglewood Community Centre, from 6.00 – 8.00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings
– The two instructors provided their services on a voluntary basis
NHSP – Computer Literacy Classes for Seniors
– A module of 4 Computer Literacy classes for Seniors, including use of laptops & smartphones, the Internet and social media
– Arranged in collaboration with ICCC
– Classes provided at the Tanglewood Community Centre, from 6.00 – 8.00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings

All day Inter-generational outing by motor coach to Kingston and Gananoque, combined with a 2.5 hr. Boat Cruise of the 1000 Islands.

– Funds used mainly for the rental of the motor coach, and for the 1000 Islands Boat Cruise
– Pizza Lunch provided at the Kingston Lakeside Park; tea and refreshments at a picnic spot on the St. Laurent river, during the return trip from Gananoque.

-Without this assistance it would be impossible for them to attend these key religious and cultural events.
-Response from the seniors assisted was extremely positive.

Note that:
1. We will start our program at 5:30 P.M.
2. Transportation arrangement for Senior Members requiring this service will be made and a separate email will be sent shortly with the details.
3. One food packet (Veg/ Non-Veg) will be served in a takeaway container at the end of the program to the RSVP’d members.
4. Food packets will be provided for children 5 years and above.
5. To avoid wastage, food packets will be ordered strictly on the basis of RSVP head count.
6. Kindly note that we will not be accepting RSVP responses beyond the deadline date of 23rd October 2017.
